“Falling” in Love

without comments

“It’s only water” she says as she faces the possibility of falling in fully clothed… or worse yet… dropped!

What a great day!! My first visit to Fall Brook Falls with members of the Everett family on a hot sunny August afternoon was enjoyable for many reasons. The scenery was awesome. The people were warm and friendly. The sun shone brightly (well maybe from a technical point of view this was a little challenging). The air was cooled by the mist from the falls. And this young couple, John & Melissa, were up for anything from rock climbing in flip-flops to the strong possibility of an unplanned swim. They are obviously in love, obviously share many interests, and obviously have great amounts of fun together! Thank you for making this day fun for me. I look forward to shooting their wedding in September.

Included in this post are four of the fifty shots included in their engagement session album. These are mostly candid shots that, in my opinion, are indicative of the happiness and good times they share.

The Look of Love

Heavenly

Heavenly

Three weeks of almost solid rain would put the odds of holding a wedding outside without getting wet at slim to none. Especially when the sky is full with ominous dark rain clouds for most of the day. But call it faith, fate, or maybe just plain luck! Half an hour before the ceremony began the clouds parted and the sun shone its brightest for the duration of the happy event and continued to shine until almost all outdoor pictures were completed. And once another of what seems like hundreds of showers this summer had past, the skies then cleared just enough to create some “heavenly” looking photographs of the bride and groom near the Saint John River.

The pictures posted are a sampling of techniques used to enhance the wonderful setting… as there was indeed nothing needed to enhance the beautiful couple on this day. Thank you Kenzie and Mike for allowing me to share in your happiness. I thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality shown to me by you and your family. A special thanks to Darlene for excellent dinner conversation!

The bride and groom will be receiving these photographs along with many others in a fabulous Topflight Proof Album… a new product for me. In addition, and for the first time for Gallery Arseneau, Kenzie and Mike will be given a private link to an on-line client gallery at www.galleryarseneau.ca. This gallery will contain all proofs (suitable for viewing but not printing) and may be confidentially shared with family and friends around the world!
